NDA Status?
NDA Status? Yah but for legal reasons there needs to be a blue that specifically says. “The Alpha NDA is lifted”.. Its not something that can be vague. I take contractual obligations very seriously. Agreed. Legally, the NDA extends to all information not otherwise released by Blizzard, which means that the beta release without NDA only permits alpha testers to talk about the things that are in the BETA, not the ALPHA. For example, you can say “the models for the Tuskarr are very detailed”, but you CAN’T say “the models for the Tuskarr have improved over the past few months” since you’re making reference to aspects of the alpha that aren’t in the beta — namely the prior state of the character models. Furthermore, you can’t even make such statements in these very forums because beta testers (who will shortly have forum access) won’t be under the NDA umbrella, and therefore are parties with whom you are still forbidden to discuss the alpha. Until Blizzard officially and explicitly releases alpha testers from the NDA, making comments about the beta by alpha testers is a legal minefield.
